Cooling the Wort

The wort is allowed to cascade down over the surface of the fridge. The fridge comprises many copper pipes through which runs cold water. A heat transfer between the hot wort and the cold water takes place resulting in the wort being cooled down.

From here the wort is pumped up to the coolship.
